While completing his college degree, Mr. Murphy had the opportunity to work in the Hillsboro County State Attorney’s Office and as a Hillsboro County Circuit Court Judge, which furthered his desire to become a trial attorney. He received his Juris Doctorate from Florida State University College of Law. After law school he returned to Tampa to begin his legal career. For the first eight years of Mr. Murphy’s career, he advocated for personal injury, medical malpractice, nursing homes and long-term care clients. He became a partner in a national company. However, he has decided that he is more interested in helping people in the community where he has lived for more than 30 years.
