Ventura Attorney Lauren Nicholson joins the board of directors Law school focuses on accessibility, opportunity, and affordability

Nicholson is currently the President of the Association of Women Lawyers Ventura Countyand advocate for women and girls in the community. Nicholson regularly volunteers with Ventura County Superior Court As a Settlement Officer, she acts as a neutral guide to help family law litigants understand the strengths and weaknesses of their cases and discuss settlements. Nicholson brings extensive knowledge of academia to law schools when appointed. Ranked top in her graduating class of 2017, with a concentration in Business and Family Law, she also served as an adjunct faculty member in the college teaching classes such as Litigation: An Overview of Processes and Procedures, Bar Studies, Legal Writing, and Remedies.

Prior to attending law schools, Nicholson earned a Bachelor of Arts in English from the University of Michigan California State University, Fresnoand a Master of Arts in English from California State University, Bakersfield. Nicholson is currently a solo coach at Ventura She works as a family law attorney dealing with uncontested and contested legal separation and dissolution, divorce mediation, division of marital property, child support, child custody, paternity, domestic partnerships, and domestic violence restraining orders.
