August 29, 2023 – Procopio Honored with 2023 Law Firm Diversity Award Asian Pacific American Bar Association (APABA) Silicon Valley. APABA Silicon Valley annually honors companies that have “demonstrated a commitment to diversity and inclusion, diverse representation in the law firm, and an organizational culture that highly values diversity and inclusion in the workplace and/or in the community.” The organization describes the award program as part of its “core mission”.
“I would like to express my gratitude to APABA Silicon Valley for selecting my company to receive this diversity award,” said Partner. Jack Shaw, Member of the Board of Directors of APABA Silicon Valley and Co-Chair of the Charity, Judiciary, Intellectual Property, Data Privacy, and Cybersecurity Committees. “For me, this is very important, because the award will inspire me and my company to dedicate more to promoting diversity within our company and our industry.”

Established over thirty years ago, APABA Silicon Valley is a forum for American attorneys from the Asia Pacific region of Silicon Valley to network, develop professional skills, engage in community service, take positions on issues affecting the APA community, and empower APAs in the Valley. APA attorneys in Silicon Valley play a critical role in enriching our legal and civil communities by practicing in every legal field – law firms of all sizes, businesses large and small, academia, government, courts, legislature, and the public interest.
This recognition is the latest of many awards Procopio has received. In June, Procopio was again identified with the former American lawyer magazine in it Diversity Scorecard 2023ranked #6 out of 226 US law firms that have completed the annual AmLaw 200 submission. In July, for the seventh year in a row, Procopio was honored with the AmLaw 200 Award. 2023 Law360 Diversity snapshot, ranked #12 among all midsize law firms in the United States, and was part of only 17% of the 283 law firms surveyed to pass the publishing benchmark. For two years in a row, Procopio has achieved just that Mansfield Plus Recognition Certification of Diversity Lab, its highest rating, is recognized for not only taking deliberate steps to expand the list of people nominated for leadership positions, but also for achieving diverse leadership representation.
