Organizational setup and reporting:

As a university doctoral assistant to the university – prof. mag. Dr.. Daniela Hohenwarter Meyer, LLM. You will work as part of a young and dynamic team in the Business Law Department, Tax Unit, whose current focus is on Austrian and international corporate tax law.

Your responsibilities:

You are actively involved in research, teaching and administration, which means:

• You participate in research projects and scientific studies in the field of tax law.
• You are working on your dissertation and publications. We expect you to finalize your dissertation agreement within 12-18 months.
• You conduct courses independently within the scope of the provisions of the collective bargaining agreement.
• You will undertake administrative tasks in research, teaching and administration.
• You will supervise students’ papers.

This is part of your personality

Must have:

• Completed master’s degree or diploma in the field of tax law by date of employment (excellent knowledge of Austrian or European tax law);
• Proficiency in written and spoken German;
• First work experience including academic writing and teaching;
• Teaching competencies/experience in e-learning;
• IT User Skills (Microsoft Operating System).

Desirable skills:

• Knowledge of the Moodle learning platform;
• Very good English language skills (C1 level);
• You must be a team player with high social skills;
• You are reliable and can work independently.

What we offer:

Duration of work is 4 years. Initially, the working period was limited to 1.5 years, then the working relationship is automatically extended to 4 years If the employer does not terminate it within the first 12 months by submitting a declaration of non-extension.
