2. A symposium on international law and the Maldives, navigating political geography, trade and sovereignty. 3. International Law Weekend 2023. The American Chapter of the International Law Association (ABILA) has opened registration for the International Law Weekend (#ILW2023) to be held October 19-21, 2023 in New York City. The unifying theme for ILW 2023 is Beyond International Law. The conference will feature 35 panels (many of which offer continuing professional education), a high-level inaugural plenary session, numerous keynote addresses, networking opportunities, the 101st Member Meeting, award ceremonies, and more. 4. Essay competition in the Journal of International Commercial Law NLIU on international commercial law. The International Trade Law Journal launched this new initiative with the help of the Economic Laws Practice (ELP) and Manupatra, an online legal research database. Law students who are currently enrolled in their undergraduate or master’s degrees in law (or equivalent) are invited to submit their essays and contribute to the discourse on international business law. The subject is international commercial law including allied areas such as international investment law, international business law, international competition law, etc. The competition favors essay entries on the Global South and India from a multifaceted perspective. The first prize is an internship opportunity with the ELP commercial team, article publication in Volume III of the NLIU-International Trade Law Journal, 3-month subscription to Manupatra, one legal skills course of their choice on Manupatra and a cash prize of Rs. 5000/-. The application deadline is October 5, 2023 and the results will be announced on October 31, 2023.
5. Call for Papers: CyCon 2024. CyCon, the International Conference on Cyber Conflict, is organized annually by NATO’s Cooperative Cyber Defense Center of Excellence (CCDCOE). The 16th edition of CyCon will be held from 28 to 31 May 2024 in Tallinn, Estonia. The theme for CyCon 2024 is “Over the Horizon.” The call for papers can be found here here.
